Hi, I'm Walter Petretto (aka Nero) I was born in the old lands of Sardinia, home of ancient peoples, giants and many legends. I have always been fascinated both by the masters of fantasy such as Frazetta, Vallejo, Bell, Rojo, Whelan, Brom, etc. but also by good photographers such as Newton, Ferri, La Chapelle and many others.

I started drawing freehand with a mixed technique of drawing and painting and then moved on to digital graphics and the 3D world.

 This is a collection of my works made in 3D graphics with Cinema 4D, Poser, Z-Brush and Photoshop.

All jobs are created with this procedure:

The character is created with Poser starting from a preset which is then modified according to my needs.Within Poser I define the pose of the character and possibly conform to a basic level of clothes and props.

Then we move on to Cinema 4d where materials are generated, they are finished in a precise way, clothes, props, etc. I use both purchased items and my own creations. Again with Cinema 4D I create the whole scene, lighting, and finally the rendering.

Then everything goes to photoshop where all the post-production is done, defects eliminated, colors changed, depth of field created, etc.
