Basic Fixes:
- Disable DND and Focus Mode: DND and Focus Mode can help block notifications to ensure you’re not disturbed. However, this will also end up blocking some important Reminders app notifications. So, ensure DND and Focus Mode are disabled on your iPhone.
- Check for software updates: Bugs in the software can cause certain iOS apps to not work properly. So, check and ensure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS version.
Fix 1: Ensure Reminder App Notifications Are Enabled
If the notifications are disabled for the Reminders app, it won’t be able to notify you of the relevant reminders. In this case, open the Reminders app settings and ensure notifications are enabled. Here’s how.
Step 1: Open Settings and tap on Reminders.
Step 2: Tap on Notifications and enable the Allow Notifications toggle.

Fix 2: Check iCloud Settings
The Reminders app might not work properly on your iPhone if it is not enabled from iCloud settings. So, open iCloud settings and ensure the Reminders app is enabled using the below steps.
Step 1: Open Settings and tap on your name. Tap on iCloud.

Step 2: Tap on Show All and ensure the Reminders toggle is enabled.

Fix 3: Disable Scheduled Summary
Scheduled Summary helps you cut through dozens of notifications throughout the day and delivers notifications at an appropriate time. You need to disable Scheduled Summary from Settings. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Open Settings and tap on Notifications.
Step 2: Select Scheduled Summary and disable the Scheduled Summary toggle.

Fix 4: Enable Time Sensitive Notifications
Marking your Reminders app notifications as time-sensitive will ensure all the notifications are delivered with the highest priority on your iPhone and remain on the lock screen for an hour. Do this if you keep missing the relevant notifications. Here’s how.
Step 1: Open Settings → Reminders → Notifications.
Step 2: Enable the Time-Sensitive Notifications toggle.

Fix 5: Check Mute Notifications and Today Notification Settings
If you have muted assigned reminders from within the Reminders app settings, they won’t be delivered to you on your iPhone. So, disable the relevant option. Additionally, you can also enable Today Notification to ensure you get reminders for all-day tasks. Here’s how to do it.
Step 1: Open Settings → Reminders. Disable the Mute Notifications toggle.
Step 2: Then, enable the Today Notification toggle.

Fix 6: Enable Reminder App Location Access
If you have denied location access to the Reminders app, you might not receive reminders for location-based tasks. In this case, check and ensure location access is enabled for the Reminders app using the below steps.
Step 1: Open Settings → Reminders. Tap on Location.
Step 2: From the options, select While Using the App.

Fix 7: Reset All Settings
If some iPhone settings are blocking the Reminders app notifications, you can reset all iPhone settings to get rid of them. This will only delete custom settings while keeping the device data safe. Follow the below steps to do it.
Step 1: Open Settings and tap on General. Tap on Transfer or Reset iPhone.

Step 2: Select Reset and tap on Reset All Settings.

Wait for the reset process to finish. Then, set the relevant reminder again in the Reminds app and see if the reminder notifications are working as expected on your iPhone.
