Stella the drink of my uncontrollable youth, not for the faint hearted. Such happy memories, bruised knuckles, loose teeth, waking up with a girl I don't know or waking in a puddle of my own puke. What a drink.

When I drink beer I like trying the micro brews, but I can drink horse piss Bud as long as it is ice cold. I'd much rather drink vodka or scotch whiskey.

When I was younger (about 30 yrs ago ) we use to go up to MINNESOTA
and cruise around the micro brewers trying the different kinds of local fair

 

Can we please go beer tasting together? You seem to know your shit!

 

I tend to favor Guiness, or the local breweries pipeline stout. I do sometimes enjoy a scottish ale however. And a light summer beer is the Apple ale from our local Moose's Tooth.

 

that would have to be steel reserve, it is the best tasting beer and it is also good for the soul

 

I'd love to take you on a taste tour BKG!!! There's a place in Portland, Oregon that has over 100 beers on tap, mostly micro's and then there are the bottles....
Stone brewery has some great ones that are available in most states ( arrogant bastard being one already mentioned). Rogue brewery in Newport, Oregon has gone pretty much national with Dead Guy Ale as well as a few others. Then there's McMennamin's ( Ruby, and Black Rabbit being my two faves) as well as Hair of the Dog's Ed, Fred, Rose, Ruth and Adam ( the latter being the first of the brewer's escapades and a big thanks to Dog with a U for my magnum bottle of Fred as a birthday present, as well as a tour and the opportunity to taste test some of the "experimentals" that never made it to market).
Some others that are widely available are Pyramid brews (from washington state), Sierra Nevada and Portland Brewing Company ( best known for Mctarnahan's Amber).
There are fruit infused wheat beers as well as fruit based Belgians and then you go deeper, into porters and stouts, scottish ales and the likes...seasonals come in with different twists and there's always someone doing something new and different...
It can get a little confusing but once you've had a few...who cares? Right?
Just start with something light before you hit the hardcore "brew scene"
And it's YOUR taste buds you want to please...not someone's opinion of what the "best beer" is.
Just a little side note..the hops and the yeast are good for your skin

I hope you're being sarcastic I mean I drink it once in a great great while cause I buy the 24 fl oz cans and get pretty hammered, but everytime I start to drink it, I think, "Why do I keep getting this!!!" as I try to force it down my throat.

Nothing beats a cold Budweiser though...AMERICA FUCK YA!

 

I definitely prefer draft over bottled or can. My favorite is Sam Adams or Red Hook.

 

I like Killians Red, myself

 

Killians, Shock top, and Blue Moon are all good.

Sam makes a few wheat beers like the later two, the pils is a little sour tangy and you might like them.

If you are ever in TX a brewer called Shiner makes a good wheat that I think blows away Blue Moon.

Then there are the German ones. . .

 

Looks like President Obama was enjoying that Guiness today...had a little snafu with the limo though.
